About Moreton Jazz

Established in March 2016 by professional musicians Ben Holder and Paul Jefferies, Moreton Jazz was created to bring great British talent (and the occasional visitor from overseas) to this beautiful market town in the heart of the Cotswolds. Paul and Ben wanted to set up a series of live music concerts that would enable them to play together, with a host of unique and different sounding musicians. These concerts aren’t necessarily about the very latest, ‘envelope-pushing' sounds (although we do have some very cutting edge players at the club), rather, they’ve been set up to celebrate music that moves the listener, music not just for jazz aficionados, but also people who simply appreciate really well played live music with an emphasis on excitement, entertainment and swing/groove. Our concerts are held once monthly, usually on a Thursday evening from September 2020 onwards, at the new time of 7.00pm (Doors opening at 6.15pm). The concerts usually comprise two, 45 minute sets with a 20-30 minute break.
